It's a very connected world we live in. The Internet connects billions of users, and it provides tremendous business opportunities for anyone seeking to step away from their usual day job.  

When people go online, what are they looking for? It's information above all else.

Some information comes in the form of free content on websites, such as my free e-courses, or through emails getting passed from one person to the next.  

But if you want to profit selling information on the 'net, then you'll want to position yourself as the go-to person in your niche. 

Provide quality solutions to the needs of the searcher, and the money will come.

Some people profit selling information in eBook form, others provide private consultations for considerable sums of money.  Some have made their living writing valuable content and giving it away with hyperlinks that take the reader to an information product they can buy, giving the author of the freebie a cut of the profits.

But, in addition to all that, here's what should be done.


Build trust 

The key to profiting from the sale of information on the 'net is to build trust with your audience.  

Understand that when someone lands on your website, you'll need to try and hold their attention. You'll only have a few seconds before they will click away. So, it will be important to write compelling information, even it's sales copy, and assure them that what you have to offer is what they are actually seeking. Dispel their doubts and fears and convince them to trust you.

At that point in the transaction, if you want to profit from selling information for your long-term strategy, then you'll want to make sure that what you deliver goes above and beyond their expectations so that they'll continue to buy from you in the future.


Selling your information

So, what's the potential to profit from selling information on the 'net? 

The answer is simple - there are no limits, no ceilings, and no barriers between you and your success.

Launch information products for sale for very low cost, almost for next to nothing. 

Do it through a free option by promoting it through a blog or on your website or in emails that are sent out through an email autoresponder such as AWeber

Use PayPal as the paying option, or take an alternative approach and use fee-based tools like your own domain, a shopping cart set up through a marketplace, and strategic banner ad placement.

Use marketplaces like JVZoo, Tradebit, Clickbank.
